Dutch Institute Warns of Potentially Deadly Trump-Shaped Ecstasy Pills
A Dutch drug institute has issued a warning over ecstasy pills shaped like U.S. President Donald Trump’s head. The pills, found in different colours and stamped with “Trump” and “NL,” have reportedly been received at multiple drug-testing centres in the Netherlands.
Researchers say the pills contain a very high amount of PMMA, a substance that resembles MDMA but is considered significantly more dangerous. PMMA can cause nausea, a rapid heartbeat, seizures and dangerously high body temperatures.
The Trimbos Institute has warned people not to take the pills under any circumstances, saying they could cause fatal overheating. However, authorities say there have been no reported deaths or serious illnesses linked to the pills so far.
