Luke Rockhold to Face Joe Pyfer in Wrestling Match at RAF 13
Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold is set to take on current UFC contender Joe Pyfer in a catchweight wrestling match at Real American Freestyle 13 on September 19 at the Watsco Center in Miami.
Pyfer, 29, enters the matchup on an impressive run. Since joining the UFC in 2022, he has compiled a 7-1 record and won four straight fights. His most recent victory came earlier this year when he defeated former UFC champion Israel Adesanya.
Rockhold, 41, will be looking for his first win under the RAF banner after losing his promotional debut to Colby Covington in January. Since leaving the UFC in 2022, the former champion has remained active across several combat sports, including boxing, bare-knuckle competition, karate and jiu-jitsu.
The upcoming bout gives both fighters an opportunity to showcase their grappling skills outside the UFC Octagon.
