UFC Signs Undefeated Ivan Gnizditskiy Despite Missing Contender Series Bout
Undefeated Russian light heavyweight Ivan Gnizditskiy has secured a UFC contract despite missing his scheduled appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series due to visa issues. His manager, Ali Askarov of Crown Sports Management, confirmed the signing, with the 30-year-old expected to make his UFC debut in December.
Gnizditskiy was originally scheduled to face Nell Ariano in Season 10 of the Contender Series but withdrew after visa complications disrupted his plans. The Russian fighter has since earned a direct contract with the promotion, giving him an opportunity to compete on the sport’s biggest stage.

The 7-0 prospect has finished all seven of his professional victories, recording six knockouts or technical knockouts and one submission. He also competed twice in ONE Championship in 2025 before stopping Tursunbek Sodikov in his most recent fight in March, strengthening his reputation as an exciting addition to the UFC light heavyweight division.
