The two buses were reportedly carrying NYSC members and other passengers travelling from Ibadan to Uyo in Akwa Ibom State and Bende in Abia State when they came under attack.
The Imo Police Command said its tactical teams, working alongside other security agencies, responded to the incident and recovered both vehicles.
