Libyan Military Delegation Visits US Air Base in Germany
A Libyan military delegation made up of commanders from eastern and western Libya visited the US Ramstein Air Base in Germany from August 3 to 7, according to a US military report. The delegation was briefed on military airlift operations and the use of C-130J Super Hercules aircraft.
During the visit, the commanders toured military units and received briefings on airfield operations, flight planning, maintenance, technical support and logistics. They also learned about the systems needed to keep airlift aircraft operational and ready for missions.

The visit was part of wider US efforts to strengthen cooperation with Libya, improve coordination between Libyan and American forces, and support the development of Libya’s military capabilities. It also comes amid ongoing efforts to build a more unified Libyan military institution.
