Kayla Harrison Questions Ronda Rousey’s Legacy, Says She Can Do Better
UFC women’s bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison has expressed confidence that she could defeat former champion Ronda Rousey in her prime. Speaking on the Deep Waters podcast, Harrison acknowledged Rousey’s role in promoting women’s MMA but questioned the level of competition she faced during her rise.

Harrison recalled losing twice to Rousey when she was 15, but pointed to her own achievements in judo, including two Olympic gold medals won in 2012 and 2016. She also highlighted her world championship and international tournament successes, insisting that her record gives her confidence in her ability to outperform Rousey.

Harrison is scheduled to defend her UFC bantamweight title against former two-division champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 334 on November 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York. The bout will be Harrison’s first title defence and a major test of her standing in women’s MMA.
