“I’m Getting Old. I Need a Wife” Whitemoney Opens Up on Why He’s Still Single at 35
Former Big Brother Naija winner, Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney, has opened up about his love life, saying he is ready to settle down but has struggled to find the right partner.

The reality TV star and singer made the revelation in a video shared on his social media page, where he admitted that turning 35 has made him think more seriously about marriage.
“I can’t even lie, I’m getting old. But the dating culture in Nigeria is something else. I need a wife. Where do they find good women?” Whitemoney said.
He expressed concern over what he described as the growing financial expectations in many relationships, claiming that genuine connections have become increasingly difficult to build.
“A lot of Nigerian girls now, any small thing, billing, especially in Lagos. They don’t care to ask, ‘Can we build?’ It’s difficult to find the right woman nowadays,” he added.
Despite his frustrations, Whitemoney said he has not given up on marriage. According to him, he remains hopeful that he will eventually meet a woman who shares his values and is willing to build a lasting relationship based on mutual commitment rather than material expectations.

His remarks have since generated mixed reactions on social media, with some users agreeing that modern dating has become increasingly transactional, while others argued that many women are equally searching for sincere partners who value love, trust and shared goals.
