Dana White Denies Government Manipulated Weather for UFC Freedom 250
UFC president Dana White has dismissed online claims that the U.S. government used secret technology to control the weather during the UFC Freedom 250 event in Washington, D.C.
A major storm was approaching the area before the event but reportedly changed course, sparking conspiracy theories online that military weather-modification technology had been used to protect the event.
White strongly rejected the claims, saying: “I can promise you that did not happen.”
According to White, even the event organizers and President Donald Trump expected the storm to hit. He said military meteorologists were monitoring the weather and had warned them that the event could be affected.
White added that there was no military operation to manipulate the weather, describing the conspiracy theory as something that simply grew online after the storm unexpectedly moved away.
The UFC boss also discussed UFC 330, including Islam Makhachev’s title defense against Ian Machado Garry, Garry’s chances of being underestimated, Mackenzie Dern’s rise and possible locations for future major UFC events.
