Former Big Brother Naija winner Mercy Eke has opened up about the challenges she has faced in her search for a life partner, admitting that one decision changed the course of her personal life.
Speaking during an interview with media personality Toke Makinwa, the reality star reflected on life after the Big Brother Naija show, saying that while the platform transformed her career, it also came with unexpected consequences.
According to Mercy, she sometimes regrets joining the reality show because the fame that followed has made it harder to find someone to build a future with.
“I regret going to Big Brother, even though I love the benefits that came with it,” she said.
The entrepreneur also disclosed that she has supported some of the men she dated financially because they were struggling, but the relationships eventually ended.
“I dey fall in love like mumu. Now I keep saying I want to marry, but it’s not easy. I have dated guys that I have given a lot of money to, not one, not two, because they didn’t have,” she said.
Mercy’s candid remarks have since sparked reactions on social media, with many fans sympathising with her and sharing their thoughts on the impact fame can have on relationships.
