Archbishop Benson Idahosa: Man Revealed How He Was Raised From the Dead as a Child
A minister identified as Petri has recounted how the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa brought him back to life when he was about five years old. Petri shared the testimony at The Winlos Centre, home of The VOTAGE Church in Benin City, Edo State, during an evening service tagged “Apostolic Shift Day 2.” Apostle Ohis Ojeikere introduced him to the congregation, describing his experience as part of the documented legacy of Idahosa’s ministry in the book Fire in His Bones.

According to Petri, he became seriously ill as a child and eventually became lifeless. His father, who lived near Faith Arena, the headquarters of the Church of God Mission International in Benin City, rushed to the church where Idahosa was holding a live conference and cried out that his son had died. Idahosa instructed him to place the child on the altar and then declared before the congregation that he would call the boy by name and he would return to life. Petri recalled that after Idahosa called his name and later lifted him, he came back to life instantly.

Recalling the experience decades later, Petri said Idahosa lifted him onto the pulpit so the congregation could see that he was alive. “He jacked me up. That was how I came back to life,” he said, before describing himself as “a living, breathing testimony of what God has done.” The testimony has since attracted emotional reactions online, with many viewers celebrating the story and the enduring spiritual legacy of Archbishop Benson Idahosa.
