Alex Pereira Accuses UFC of Manipulating Fans Over Gane vs Hokit Title Fight
UFC star Alex Pereira has accused the promotion of influencing public opinion to generate support for the heavyweight title fight between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit. Pereira questioned whether fans genuinely wanted the matchup, suggesting that influential figures were encouraged to praise it before its official announcement.

Speaking to Laerte Viana, Pereira said the UFC told him a fan poll showed support for the fight, although he had not seen the results. He also pointed to comments from former UFC champion Daniel Cormier and other prominent personalities, alleging that their public endorsements helped prepare fans to accept the matchup.

Pereira had expected an opportunity to face Gane in a rematch after their June encounter at UFC Freedom 250. He also questioned Cormier’s position on the heavyweight title, saying the former champion had told him that beating Gane might not make him champion.
