Agbara Nla: The Return Breaks Nollywood Preview Record With N71m Sales
Nollywood faith-based movie Agbara Nla: The Return has recorded more than N71 million in single-day preview sales, setting a new record ahead of its nationwide cinema release.

According to the Nigerian Box Office platform, the film generated about N70 million from 12,134 admissions during preview screenings held between September 25 and October 1. The figure was reported as the highest single-day preview gross in West Africa, while its admissions also ranked as the highest first-day figure recorded in 2026.
The film, distributed by Nile Entertainment, is a modern reimagining of the 1993 classic Agbara Nla, with Mike Bamiloye reprising his role as Isawuru. Damilola Mike-Bamiloye and Joshua Bamiloye directed the new production, which is now showing in cinemas nationwide.

Agbara Nla: The Return revisits the story of Muwonleru, a community controlled by the powerful herbalist Isawuru, as two Christian believers, Olaboye and Olatomi, leave their city lives to spread the Christian message in the village.
