Chelsea secured a 2-0 victory over Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, October 17, with Pedro Neto scoring both goals to deliver a crucial Premier League win. The Portuguese winger broke the deadlock just 43 seconds into the second half before completing his brace in the 90th minute.

The victory marked a significant result for Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso, as Everton suffered their first defeat of the Premier League season. Chelsea also recorded their first clean sheet in nine months, strengthening their confidence after a difficult period defensively.

However, the win was overshadowed by an injury concern involving Chelsea goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, who was stretchered off following a collision with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite. Mike Penders replaced him, making his Premier League debut as Chelsea held on to claim all three points.
