Israel Adesanya vs Shara Magomedov Reportedly Set to Headline UFC Fight Night 295
Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is reportedly set to face Shara Magomedov in the main event of UFC Fight Night 295 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on December 5, 2026. The event was initially scheduled for a week earlier but has since been moved, with no official reason given for the change.

Adesanya, 37, will be looking to end a four-fight losing streak that began with his title defeat to Sean Strickland in 2023. The Nigerian-born New Zealander subsequently lost to Dricus du Plessis by submission before suffering TKO defeats against Nassourdine Imavov and Joe Pyfer. Another setback could further complicate his bid to return to title contention.

Magomedov, 32, enters the reported matchup with a 6-1 UFC record and back-to-back victories over Marc-André Barriault and Michel Pereira. Despite his recent success, the Russian middleweight has yet to break into the division’s rankings. The proposed bout could offer Adesanya an opportunity to revive his career while giving Magomedov a major platform to establish himself among the division’s leading contenders.
