Ayra Starr: “I’ll Break Up With Him If I Find Another Man More Attractive”
Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has revealed that she would end a serious relationship if she found another man more attractive than her current partner.
The singer, whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, made the disclosure while answering relationship questions on her Ask Ayra Starr show.
A woman had asked for advice about being in a serious relationship while developing feelings for another person she considered more attractive.
Responding to the question, Ayra Starr said she would rather end her existing relationship than date two men at the same time.
“If I’m in a serious relationship with a guy and then I find another guy more attractive, I would break up with him instead of dating both of them at the same time,” she said.
The Rush singer said ending the relationship would also give her time to understand her feelings before starting something new.
“I don’t think you can love two people. I think you need time to yourself so you can figure it out,” Ayra Starr added.
The singer also advised people in romantic relationships not to abandon their friends after finding a partner.
According to her, maintaining friendships is important even when someone is deeply involved in a romantic relationship.
“You should never abandon your friends because you are in love,” she said.
Ayra Starr also warned against relationships where one partner tries to isolate the other from friends.
“Your partner should not isolate you from your friends because you are in a relationship,” she added.
She stressed the need for people to maintain a healthy balance between romantic relationships and friendships.
Her comments have generated conversations about attraction, loyalty, friendship and how people should handle changing feelings while in committed relationships.
