Ghanaian Freezy Macbones Wins WBO Africa Light Heavyweight Title
Ghanaian boxer Seth “Freezy Macbones” Gyimah has won the WBO Africa Light Heavyweight Championship after defeating Nigeria’s Godday “Zodsolo” Appah by majority decision in Lagos.

The Ghana-Nigeria contest was held at The Balmoral on October 1 as part of a special boxing programme organised to mark Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day.
Macbones produced a controlled display throughout the bout, with his performance earning enough support from the judges to hand him the continental title.
Appah pushed the Ghanaian during the contest, but Macbones maintained his composure and finished the fight with the majority decision in his favour.
The victory represents another notable achievement in Macbones’ professional boxing career and gives him the WBO Africa light heavyweight crown on Nigerian soil.
The bout attracted boxing fans who gathered at The Balmoral for an evening that combined competitive action with Nigeria’s Independence Day celebrations.
