Nigerian Navy Recruitment Opens For 2026 Batch 39, See How To Apply
The Nigerian Navy has opened applications for its 2026 recruitment exercise, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for admission into Batch 39 of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School.
The recruitment portal will be open from October 2 to October 31, 2026, according to the Navy, which announced the exercise on its official X account.
Interested candidates are required to complete the application online through the Navy’s official recruitment portal during the stipulated period.
The exercise is open to Nigerian citizens by birth who have a National Identification Number (NIN) and meet the required educational, age, physical and medical conditions.
The Navy stressed that the recruitment exercise is free and warned applicants against anyone requesting money in exchange for helping them secure recruitment.
“Online registration and other recruitment processes are free of charge and no payment should be made at any point to anyone throughout the Exercise,” the Navy said.
Applicants must be medically, psychologically and physically fit, have no previous criminal conviction and be able to communicate in basic English.
The minimum height requirement is 1.69 metres for male applicants and 1.65 metres for female applicants.
Candidates applying with O’Level qualifications must be between 18 and 22 years old as of December 31, 2026.
They must also have at least five credits, including Mathematics and English Language, obtained in not more than two sittings.
Separate requirements apply to candidates with OND and NCE qualifications, as well as tradesmen, applicants in medical professions and sportsmen and women.
Candidates who complete the online application are expected to print their acknowledgement form, parent or guardian consent form, Local Government attestation form and guarantor’s certification form.
The Navy said details of the recruitment examination, including the date and venues, would be communicated to applicants in due course.
Prospective applicants have been advised to obtain further information from the official recruitment portal when the application window opens.
The Navy also cautioned candidates against submitting multiple applications, warning that only one valid application is allowed.
“Only a single valid application is permitted, multiple online applications shall be disqualified,” the recruitment guideline stated.
Applicants who cannot communicate in basic English may also be disqualified at any stage of the exercise.
