Antichrist May Be Among Us — US Vice-President Vance
US Vice-President JD Vance has said he would not be surprised if the Antichrist were already walking among humanity, while discussing the possibility of the biblical end times.
Vance made the remark during a podcast interview with evangelical host Bryce Crawford, where he also spoke about faith, artificial intelligence and his work in government.
Asked whether he believed the world was approaching the end times, Vance said he was unsure but believed they were coming, whether thousands of years from now or within months.
“I think there are things about the world that make me feel, like, not shocked if the antichrist was walking among us,” Vance said.
He also warned against becoming too consumed by end-times predictions, arguing that excessive focus on them could be harmful.
Vance said he was focused on doing what he believed was God’s work, adding that he would accept the consequences if his actions contributed to the end times.
The vice-president also raised concerns about artificial intelligence, describing the use of AI as a marriage counsellor as “kind of satanic” because of the loss of human interaction.
Vance further recalled feeling a sense of spiritual darkness during meetings involving world leaders, saying such moments could trigger what he called his “spiritual alarm bell.”
He also defended President Donald Trump over an AI-generated image that depicted Trump as Jesus, saying Trump did not intend to mock Christianity and had only been making a joke.
