New UFC Fighter Predicted His UFC Signing Eight Years Ago: “UFC or Nothing Else”
Adam Darby has finally fulfilled a dream he wrote down eight years ago: becoming a UFC fighter.
The 8-1 fighter earned his UFC contract after dominating Patrick Rivera at Dana White’s Contender Series on September 1.
Darby controlled the fight with his striking, breaking Rivera down until the cageside doctor stopped the contest in the third round.
But the victory was only part of the story.
Back in 2018, while still an amateur, Darby wrote a simple message in his phone’s notes: “One life, one chance, UFC or nothing else.”
Eight years later, that prediction has become reality.
Darby says winning a UFC contract is only the beginning. His next target is becoming a UFC champion.
And he is already asking for another fight.
The new UFC signing wants to make his debut as soon as possible, even suggesting UFC Paris on September 5.
“I’m not just here to stay here and not fight,” Darby said, making it clear that he wants to get straight to work.
From an eight-year-old dream written in a phone to a UFC contract, Adam Darby’s journey is a reminder that sometimes the goal starts with simply refusing to give up on it.
