Russian Strike Near Kyiv Kills 37, Sparks Weapons Storage Probe
At least 37 people were killed after a Russian strike triggered a major blast and fire in Ukraine’s Bucha district, west of Kyiv. The attack damaged at least 50 residential buildings and came amid a third consecutive day of intense Russian air raids around the capital.
Ukrainian officials said the fire spread through residential areas, raising concerns about the impact of the strike on civilians. The attack is being described as one of the deadliest in Ukraine this year.

The incident has also prompted questions over the storage of weapons and ammunition near residential areas as drone and missile attacks continue. Elsewhere, Russian strikes in the Kherson region reportedly killed two people and injured 27 others.
