Amber Alert Intensifies as Hunt for Abducted 6-Year-Old Spreads Across Northern Canada
Police have expanded an Amber Alert across parts of northern Canada as the search intensifies for six-year-old Lanakai Morrison, who is believed to have been abducted from Beaverlodge, Alberta.
Investigators allege the child was taken by her mother, Krista Morrison, 35. Authorities believe she may be travelling with Daniel Ludwig, also 35, and another child, four-year-old Karl Morrison.
According to police, the group is believed to be travelling in a red 2006 Ford F-350 pickup truck bearing Alberta licence plate CXW8820.
Investigators suspect the vehicle may be moving through northern British Columbia and could have crossed into the Northwest Territories or Yukon.
The alert was extended to the Northwest Territories after authorities raised concerns that the vehicle could be heading farther north. Residents across the affected regions have been urged to remain vigilant and immediately report any sightings to emergency services.
Police have warned members of the public not to approach or attempt to stop anyone connected to the case, stressing that any information that could assist the investigation should be reported by calling 911.
The search remains ongoing as law enforcement agencies work to safely locate the missing child and those believed to be travelling with her.
